Virtual Exhibition: KS4 Assured Photography Perspectives

By King's InterHigh

Over two years, students explore four Modules. Truth and Lies: digital manipulation, Macro Micro: exploring scale and Reflections: looking at light through lens-based media.

Truth and Lies: Understanding photography through hand and digital manipulation

Students must research various photographers who use digital and hand manipulation techniques, visual illusion and deception, and then create personal responses to this research using the theme of ‘Truth and Lies’.  Students should explore a variety of editing techniques using apps and software and refer to the formal elements and compositional techniques.

Macro Micro: Exploring scale in relation to the natural and urban landscapes.

Students must research various photographers using micro and macro techniques to compose their images and then create personal responses to this research using the theme of ‘Macro Micro’.  The final piece will be a curated collection of composed images.

Reflections: Exploring light and reflection through lens-based media.

Students must research various photographers who use reflection in their work and create personal responses to this research using the theme, ‘Reflections: Exploring light and reflection through lens-based media’. Students will use their research, exploration, and analysis to then explore ideas for an individual and unique response to the theme by producing a final piece.
