Concept Art

An exploration of conceptual art and creature design for selected franchises. Students learn how to develop an idea to produce a 2D illustration of their creature concept and then build a 3D model prototype using modelling materials or digital render.

Portraiture: Imaging Identity

An exploration of imaging identity in three parts. Students explore photographer Toby Dixon and respond to Kahinde Wiley, Maurizio Anzeri, Elizabeth Peyton, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and David Hockney. They then develop observational drawing skills by sketching a photo-realistic portrait.
