I joined Interhigh after I had been home educated from Year 3 onwards. When I was 12 years old I felt I needed professional teaching to properly prepare for taking IGCSES and so I joined Interhigh because I did not want to attend mainstream school.
The teaching at Interhigh, alongside home studying, helped me to pass four IGCSEs in 2015 with the following grades: A* in English Language, A* in English Literature, A in History and C in Mathematics. Whilst studying at Interhigh I also attended their extra-curricular classes in Creative Writing and subsequently won 1st prize in a creative writing competition run by Interhigh which was judged by a published author.
I also attended an Interhigh weekend in Wales, where I was taught how to do Stage Lighting, Sound and Engineering for a stage show.
Preparing for a better future
Since leaving Interhigh I have completed a one-year BTEC course at 6th Form College attaining a double Distinction Star grading in Music Performance & Recording. Consequently, I have been offered an unconditional place to study a Degree in Music Production & Sound Engineering from September 2017.
While I was a student at Interhigh I also attended monthly creative writing classes near to my hometown and this, coupled with the Creative Writing and English classes at Interhigh, have encouraged me to start a career in Music Journalism.
I currently have over 80 articles published on a successful online Music Magazine and plan to seek paid journalism work in the near future to supplement the costs of my Degree course.
