All is not lost if you missed out on your first choice secondary school

A high proportion of pupils miss out on their first choice secondary school on “national offer day”. This is down to a number of reasons. A baby boom in the 2000s means that there are more secondary school-age children competing for the same number of places. Where you live is also a factor on how likely you are to get your first-choice school, with pupils in London sometimes having to settle for their second or even third choices. Making InterHigh your first choice, means you can give your child a first class British education regardless of where you live, all you need is an internet connection.

Don't settle for second best

It can be very frustrating and unsettling if you were not successful in getting your first or second choices of secondary school for your child. In some cases it may mean the school that you are offered is quite some distance away from where you live adding extra disruption to your daily routine and travelling costs. The standard of education at the school you’re offered may also be below what you wanted for your child. InterHigh is not bound by location, all you need is an internet connection, so studying with us not only offers your child a higher standard of education, but saves you time, travel and expense of taking your child to a school you didn’t want them to go to in the first place.

About InterHigh

The UK’s leading secondary school and sixth form, InterHigh, was formed in 2005. Over 1,000 students from across the UK and internationally study the National Curriculum for England at InterHigh from Year 7, right the way through to IGCSE, AS and A Levels. Real time, time-tabled, interactive, live online lessons are led by our expert faculty between 9.30am and 3pm Monday to Friday. Students can access the school’s online library, common room and 24/7 lesson archive to prepare for homework and exams.

Smaller class sizes and less time wasted on discipline and disruption

There are many advantages to studying at an online school. Pupils at InterHigh receive a more personalised education with class sizes kept to maximum of up to 18 pupils for IGCSEs and 15 for A Levels. The fact we are online also means that teachers can concentrate on teaching for the entire length of the lesson without the usual disruption and distractions you may get at a traditional bricks and mortar school.

Rapid progress

We have found that pupils make rapid progress following our revolutionary teaching model. Pupils follow an engaging syllabus for each subject and are deliberately taught no more than two subjects every day, to help consolidate learning. We encourage independent learning which gives our pupils a good preparation for the style of education they will encounter if they decide to go on to further and higher education. On average, InterHigh pupils graduate with a second class degree or higher at University.
