If you loved maths at GCSE, then taking the next step up to A Level can expand your knowledge and give you the skills you need for university and the world of work. Students who study A level maths often go on to study subjects such as physics, engineering and computer science at university, but the skills you learn are transferable to a huge range of career paths.
A level maths is all about problem solving and developing your analytical thinking, attributes which are often desired by universities and employers. Successful candidates in A level maths online gain a wide range of lifelong skills, including:

We recommend that candidates who are beginning this course should have previously completed an IGCSE level course in mathematics. This will ensure you have a good foundation knowledge, which we will build upon at the A levels stage.
A level maths online provides a suitable foundation for the study of mathematics or related courses in higher education.
In the October of year 11, 12 and 13 parents and guardians will receive an email asking which exams the learner intends to take, and where they would like to take them. Parents and guardians must inform King’s InterHigh if they need assistance finding an exam centre by mid-October.
King’s InterHigh can support you in finding a local exam centre. It is then down to the individual to register with the centre of choice and pay the exam fees to the centre directly. As each exam centre sets their own fees we cannot provide accurate pricing, however as an example, you can see our own fees by clicking here
Physical, medical or learning support needs may be eligible for access arrangements during exams. These can include:
*These arrangements must be approved by the exam board. The learner will need to undertake learning assessments with an educational psychologist or specialist assessor in order to complete the application form. These assessments can take up to 18 months to process.
The deadline for application to the exam board is the February of the year that the learner sits exams.
There are no formal entry requirements for this subject.
However, if you’re looking to study this subject as one of four A levels, we strongly advise you only do so if you are predicted at least a grade 7 at GCSE / IGCSE in this subject or a relevant subject.
We have several fee packages and options, with differing levels of commitment to suit most circumstances. In most cases parents have the option to pay in instalments, spreading the cost of the investment.

You can study A Level maths online by joining a virtual school -all you need is an internet connection.
You can join your teachers and classmates in live lessons and have the flexibility of 24/7 access to lesson recordings and course materials. The A Level maths qualification is the same as the one you’d achieve at a physical school or college and includes the same exams.
You must study A Level maths with us if you wish to study A Level further maths. We also recommend you only study this subject if you’re predicted a grade 7 or higher in your GCSE or IGCSE for further maths or a similar subject.

There are no formal requirements for studying A Level maths at King’s InterHigh.
However, we recommend you complete our IGCSE course in maths before studying this A Level. This will provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge that you’ll build on in the A Level course.
Other education providers may have different requirements. This may include up to five GCSEs at grades 4 – 9, including English and maths.

There are five exam papers in total. These are usually taken during May or June, towards the end of the academic year.
If you’re studying with us, we’ll send an email to your parents in the October beforehand, asking them which exams you intend to take and where you want to take them. They must let us know if you need help finding an exam centre by the middle of October.
Once you’ve found a centre, it’s up to you to register with them and pay any fees they demand.
A Level maths is naturally more challenging than the GCSE. This is due to the fact that more independent learning is required, and the overall content of the course is more complex. However, with the right attitude and practice, you have the potential to perform well. Our tutors are available to help whenever possible, too.
